Your current service will be renamed our Direct Investment Service, effective immediately.
We would like to reassure you that this is simply a renaming of your current service proposition and this does not affect your holdings, nor does it change any previous recommendations on the funds you are invested in with us. You will continue to be bound by the CBAM terms and conditions, and no other aspect of your relationship with us will change.
A reminder of what your service offers
Our Direct Investment Service is a predominantly paper based service which allows you to manage your investments with the help of a dedicated support team, but without the cost associated with ongoing advice.
We’re pleased to confirm you will continue to receive the following services:
- Investment reports
- Annual tax statements
- Telephone and email support
- Ability to view your portfolio online*
- Access to download required forms
- Regular news and research updates available on the client portal and our website
*If you don’t already have access to view your portfolio online, simply provide us with your email address and we’ll do the rest. You’ll then be able to view your portfolio via our online portal or mobile app, generate ad-hoc reports and receive our research updates.
A reminder of what your service does not offer
As a client who previously received on-going advice from one of our financial planners, you may recall that some time ago we informed you that we were no longer arranging an annual review of your portfolio and that we had stopped charging you for an on-going advice service accordingly. This remains the case, and any future transactions you make will be non-advised transactions, which means you will be responsible for any investment decisions you make and for the ongoing suitability of your investments for your needs.
It is important to note that if you are invested in our Close Brothers Funds, these funds continue to be actively managed by our in-house investment managers. However, as your personal and financial circumstances can change over time, it is your responsibility to determine if our funds suit your needs.
We understand that things change, so of course, if at any time in the future you would like to speak to one of our financial planners, this option is still available to you. However, a separate one-off fee would be charged and we cannot guarantee that this consultation will be with your previous adviser.
We wanted to make finding the information and resources you might need simpler, and have everything accessible in one place. As such, we’re pleased to launch our new Direct Investment Service website, containing important documents and forms, pricing information, details of our Close Brothers funds, plus, our latest news, research and insights.
We are pleased to introduce your new dedicated servicing team, the Investor Support Team. Our friendly, UK based team can assist you in a number of ways, for example, administrative support, processing instructions, resetting your password, or setting you up with access to view your portfolio online.
The Investor Support Team can be contacted via email or telephone and are available 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
