Speak to us about this issue

In February 2022, the Russian government ordered its armed forces to invade Ukraine. Several million Ukrainians have fled the country into neighbouring European countries as refugees, and it is likely that this human tragedy will deepen as we go through the year. Meanwhile, unprecedented sanctions have been placed on Russian businesses and individuals by western countries as they attempt to force Russia to halt its actions. The conflict has rocked markets and sent commodity prices soaring. On this page, we will share regular updates on the situation, including our thoughts on how we think it could impact investors.

Pledging our support

As the human tragedy continues to mount, Close Brothers Asset Management employees are donating to a fund organised by The British Red Cross, which will help provide immediate support to those who have been left bereaved, injured, or homeless by this crisis. This includes working to provide food, medicines and basic medical supplies, shelter and water to people in areas currently affected. You can join us in donating on our JustGiving page.
