In December 2020, Close Brothers Asset Management withdrew the self-directed intermediated services provided to former Allenbridge and Chartwell clients.
This affects clients where we acted as an intermediary for holdings on the Aegon or Fidelity FundsNetwork platforms or for those investments directly held with fund managers. We made a strategic decision to cease providing these services as our self-directed business is moving to become predominantly online in the near future. Other Close Brothers Asset Management services remain unchanged.
You will have received advance notice of us removing ourselves as your intermediary provider. You may have chosen to appoint another intermediary, however, if you took no action you will have automatically become a direct customer of your platform provider or will have moved to deal with your fund manager(s) directly.
At the point we removed ourselves as your intermediary you ceased to be a Close Brothers client. It is important to note that Close Brothers will no longer be able to make any account changes on your behalf and any fees or commission previously payable to us ceased.
If you have a separate account directly via the Close Brothers Asset Management online Self-Directed Service or with a Close Brothers Adviser, these accounts will be unaffected as those services remain unchanged.
